Bug #608: strangeness in SetActorMode(cTV_ACTORMODE_CPU)
Product:

Language:
C++
Current State:

Resolution:
Unconfirmed

I have some very strange things happening when i use SetActorMode(cTV_ACTORMODE_CPU).

I have here some images to show you.

SetActorMode(cTV_ACTORMODE_CPU) off
img(Link)

SetActorMode(cTV_ACTORMODE_CPU) on
img(Link)

two things are wrong here:

First problem. In the second image you can see some verts are getting drawn in the wrong place, the plant has a wierd spike comming out the top and you can see several of the branches and leaves are stretched into each other.

We have a lot of CTVActor plant models here, 200 in fact.
At least 4 of them are doing this, there may be more since we havent tested them all yet (probably tested asbout 50 or so).

Note its defiantely not the shader causing this, I tried without the shader on and its still warped. For some reason the SetActorMode(cTV_ACTORMODE_CPU) is distorting the models.

Problem number two: The colors in the second image are different from those in the first. Once again this is not the shader. I turned it off and added some lights and still got wierd colors. This problem is happening to everything in our game, we have plants and monsters all over the place and no matter what color they originally were, with SetActorMode(cTV_ACTORMODE_CPU) set, they always appear as green and pink.
All the object do use the same material which contains dozens of colors, with only some of them actualy being used on each model. with CPU mode on it seems to just take the colors in the order they appear in the material reguardless of which once are actualy used.

All of the CTVMesh in the scene which of course dotn have the SetActorMode(cTV_ACTORMODE_CPU) set, draw their proper color.

I have tested this in two projects now, with many different models, and the sresults are the same, I can only assume these are bugs in the cTV_ACTORMODE_CPU.
