Bug #463: Setheight & Lightning
Product:
TV3D SDK 6.5
Language:
Not Specified
Current State:
Closed
Resolution:
Fixed

When changing land height using the Setheight, the light on the landscape is acting as it was before the setheight.

Let say my land bitmap is flat with 1 big hole in the middle, the light will be ok on the hole (some part darker), but if instead Im using a totaly flat land and 'creating' a hole using setheight, there's no dark spot in the hole.

What if you call "ComputeNormals" afterwards?

I think it's not automatic because doing it every SetHeight would be slow.

So i think the computenormals is only done if you call FlushHeightChanges or if you call ComputeNormals.

Let me know if it works that way.

works, but it doesnt while using multiple landscapes and adjusting the height to remove the seams, the light doesnt catch on right where the seams are (tried fixseams, same thing)
