The modelview does not populate with the specularmap that was assigned to a tvm that was saved previously with modelview.

I've had a similar problem. I converted a 3ds to TVM and loaded it into ModelView and set bump and texture maps before saving. On re-open the bumpmap was in the normalmap slot (in modelview and visually) . To test, I loaded bitmaps in all slots and saved and opened. Again, texture was correct and bump was in normalmap layer. I could see the specular layer, but it was not listed. So, I opened in a hex editor and saw that only the 3 filenames were there. I believe it's an issue with SaveTVM as I get Exactly the same result in the material editor I'm working on. BTW, I did the sameprocess a few times, with varying results, but never a proper save. I've had exactly the same thing... even made a posting about it in the forum. Glad to hear I'm not the only one :D
